Duas for your family
Duas from the Qur’an and Sunnah for spouses, children, parents and the home you share.
Mercy for my parents
My Lord, have mercy on them as they cared for me when I was small.
Gratitude, righteous offspring and repentance
My Lord, inspire me to be grateful for the blessing You have given me and my parents, and to do good that pleases You. Make my children righteous for me. I have turned to You in repentance, and I am one of those who submit to You.
Forgiveness for my parents and the believers
Our Lord, forgive me, my parents, and the believers on the Day when the account is taken.
Ibrahim’s prayer for his family
When Ibrahim said: ‘My Lord, make this land a place of safety, and keep me and my children away from worshipping idols. My Lord, they have led many people astray. Whoever follows me is of me, and whoever disobeys me, You are Forgiving and Merciful. Our Lord, I have settled some of my offspring in a valley without crops, near Your Sacred House, our Lord, so that they may establish prayer. So make people’s hearts incline toward them, and provide them with fruits so that they may be grateful. Our Lord, You know what we hide and what we reveal; nothing on earth or in the heavens is hidden from Allah. Praise be to Allah, who granted me Ismail and Ishaq in my old age. My Lord truly hears every prayer. My Lord, make me one who keeps up the prayer, and my children too. Our Lord, accept my prayer. Our Lord, forgive me, my parents and the believers on the Day the reckoning takes place.’
